This Sister is standing tall on the south east corner, Freedom Corner, in the Capaha Park at the intersection of NW End Blvd & Broadway. She provides those poor souls that have to stop at this red light a bit of relief as she smiles upon them. Standing in front of the American Legion and Auxilliary pillars which remember their fallen comrades; she greets all that take the time to see her. There is easy access into the park off Broadway even for a large RV and you will find plenty of parking close by. While visiting this Sister you can picnic in one of the parks shelters and walk to the small lake and feed the ducks or if you have kids several areas for them to play in. Bring your camera for there is lots to photograph other than Liberty’s sister. You will find a small train engine that you and the kids can crawl upon. It is quite small as locomotives go. Whatever your tastes are you will find plenty to keep you talking about your visit to this park as well as the very historic town of Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
