El Dorado is a city situated along the Walnut River in the central part of Butler County, located in south-central Kansas, in the Central United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 13,021.

She stand at the northwest corner of the County Court House she sits on an eleven point start base with a matching stone pedestal of five feet. The statue at the site is actually a replacement for the original that was set in place in 1988. The original is located in the Butler County Historical Society Museum.
